Visit of the European Union Delegation to Liberia
On the sidelines of World Wetlands Day celebrations in the Grand Mano landscape, the European Union Delegation to Liberia visited projects funded in the Lac Piso reserve by Wetlands International Africa – West Coast and Gulf of Guinea as part of the EU-funded “Gestion des Forêts de Mangroves du Sénégal au Bénin” (PAPBio C1-Mangroves) project, jointly implemented with IUCN and the Collectif 5Deltas.
The visit was an enriching experience, enabling members of the delegation not only to see for themselves the achievements underway in the field, but also to share their observations and other tips for improving and sustaining the results already achieved. Projects that attracted the most interest included the production and use of improved stoves with women in the communities of Fallie and Senbehun, as well as the construction and equipping of a cassava processing unit in Teh, etc….
The beneficiaries of the subsidized projects thanked WIACO and the EU for their technical and financial support in carrying out these projects, which are so important for them and for the community.
