Annual Review 2020<\/h2>\n

Our\u00a0annual review\u00a0and accounts\u00a0assess\u00a0how we have delivered on our mission, vision and strategic intent. We are pleased to present Wetlands International Annual Review and Accounts 2020, in the format of a digital magazine, The Source.<\/span><\/i><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Source brings to life our achievements, outcomes and progress,\u00a0and spotlights those behind the work \u2014\u00a0from\u00a0our network team around the world to our partners, donors and members. We hope it will provide inspiration and insight into\u00a0the\u00a0most challenging and exciting programmes\u00a0around the world\u00a0under our\u00a0three \u201cstreams\u201d of work or wetland landscapes: Coasts and Deltas, Rivers and Lakes, and Peatlands.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In the 2020 edition, you will find examples of how we have supported wetland communities through the Covid-19 pandemic by planning and developing along pathways that create<\/span><\/p>\n

resilience for both nature and those who depend on it. Despite the constraints, 2020 included many highlights and milestones, from the launch of the Global Mangrove Watch platform, to setting up a new wetland carbon programme and rejuvenating our global peatlands programme. We finalised our Strategic Intent 2020-2030, and launched our ongoing digital campaign #PowerofWetlands, engaging youth as a key audience. We agreed to innovative partnerships\u00a0in the private sector\u00a0and received a generous \u20ac1 million grant from the Dutch Postcode Lottery\u00a0for 2018-2020,\u00a0which supported many of the achievements featured in this annual review.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Annual Reviews and Accounts 2019<\/h2>\n

Each year we publish our annual report and accounts which assesses how we have delivered on our mission, vision and strategic intent.\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>We are pleased to present Wetlands International Annual Review and Accounts 2019, <\/em><\/strong>The Source.\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Source brings to life our achievements, stories of outcomes and progress and spotlights those behind the work \u2014 from our network team around the world to our partners, donors and members. We hope it will provide inspiration and insight into our most exciting and challenging programmes from Africa to Asia, South East Asia, South America to Europe.<\/p>\n

In the 2019 edition, you will find examples of how we are developing data-driven tools and capacities to help steer and mobilise on-the-ground interventions. You will also get a sense of how we work in unusual partnerships to design and mobilise nature-based solutions at scale and achieve leverage of major results starting with seed funding. This year\u2019s articles bring to life our work, people and network across \u2018blue lifelines\u2019, \u2018building with nature\u2019, \u2018cities and wetland economies\u2019.<\/p>\n
